Torrey Pines located in San Diego, California is one of natures real treasures. Made famous by the Torrey Pines golf open it was a source of inspiration for the late Dr Seuss. The view from the top of the cliffs overlooking the Ocean will take your breath away. For an unreal experience try hiking this trail at sunset during a full moon, you won't regret it. Perfect for taking a romantic date, hanging out or the dreaded in laws when they come to visit from out of town.

The only downside to hiking here is paying for parking. Since the whole area is a state park be prepared to pay $12 to park on weekends, $10 on weekdays. Here is an excellent pro tip, get here early and park at the beach. If you're super lucky or it is possible to park here for free. Coming early is your best bet but even if you show up at 8 am on the weekend it's no guarantee because it is still packed due to surfers.
